Food Program

The first step in accessing the Community Care food bank is an interview to determine eligibilty. For this, you will need to bring the following:

  • Identification for ALL family members
  • Proof of income and expenditures (rent/mortgage)
  • Proof of current address

This information is required the first time you visit Community Care (and is updated yearly). Upon each visit, you must always provide ID with proof of address. Please notify Community Care promptly of any changes.

Allotted food visits are every two months, or if there are extenuating circumstances or emergencies.

What You Receive

Community Care is able to provide its clients with a 3 to 5 day food supply, which is based on the size of family.

We try to offer variety in the food we can provide and look to Canada's Food Guide as a template where possible.
