the niagara homelessness initiative

The Niagara Homelessness Initiative is funded by the Regional Municipality of Niagara and administered by Community Care, St. Catharines & Thorold.

The Niagara Homelessness Initiative is a rapid-response, emergency outreach support service for the street involved/absolute homeless, providing direct front-line services to the hardest to serve population through community outreach, basic needs, counselling, information, advocacy, and emergency/crisis referral to emergency shelters, while maintaining contact with those who remain outdoors throughout the Niagara Region.

Niagara Homelessness Initiative also assists individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, in attaining emergency shelter and community resource information.
