how you can donate

There are several ways you can make a valuable donation: monetarily, food, clothing, used electronics and many, many others.

Non-monetary donations can be dropped off during our regular business hours. We kindly ask that donations not be left outside  afterhours but placed in one of our donation bins.  

All donations over $10.00 will receive a tax receipt.

Double your impact. Community Care has the ability to strech your donation, allowing us to purchase in bulk and exactly the item which is presently low on our shelves.

planned giving

If you are considering a long term donation to Community Care, there are a number of options including estate planning, wills, charitable life insurance, gift annuities, gifts of security and trusts that can be directed to Community Care. A planned gift is best made with a financial advisor, attorney, accountant or insurance professional. snacks 'n' sneakers program

...every child deserves a secure start to school 

Help us support as many children as possible have a secure start to school this September. 

This year we are introducing two donation levels, $20 and $50 (as always any donation amount is appreciated and well directed to the program initiatives)

~$20 will provide one week’s worth of healthy snacks or new sneakers for one deserving child

~$50 will provide snacks, sneakers and a new backpack

Back to school time can be difficult for children who are not equipped with what they need, please consider giving the gift of a good start to the school season and support Snacks 'n' Sneakers.

donate unwanted electronics

We are thrilled to advise that Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold is a member of the “Think Recycle” program, an initiative that raises awareness of environmental issues and raises money for our agency.  The “Think Recycle” program allows everyone to safely and responsibly recycle unwanted electronics.

Here’s how it works:

1) We will receive unwanted electronics at Community Care at:

12 North Street, St. Catharines  or 19 Albert Street. West, Thorold

2) We will ship the products to THINK RECYCLE, where the recycled products are processed

3) We will receive funds for the recycled products – These funds will be used for programs that benefit clients who access the services at Community Care

 

Acceptable Products Include:

CELL PHONES | LAPTOPS | IPODS | MP3 PLAYERS | DIGITAL CAMERAS |    PRINT CARTRIDGES
