Other Christmas Sponsorship Programs

Adopt-a-Family:

Approximately 200 families registered for Christmas are afforded the once in a lifetime opportunity to be adopted by a family, group or business. As a sponsor, you are matched with a family and provided with their personal wish list. You are responsible for shopping for the family, including a small gift for the parents(s) and a food voucher from a local grocery store. Please expect the average overall cost to be approximately $100 per person. (example: family of 3=$300, family of 5=$500 including food voucher and gifts) A full description of the program will be mailed, faxed, e-mailed or you may download from our web site. Upon receiving your requested information, we then match you with a registered family. Once a match is made, a wish list will be forwarded to you and the shopping begins!

Adopt-an-Angel:

Through the Adopt-an-Angel Program, toys or NEW winter accessories such as mitts, hats, scarves, snow suits, coats, boots, warm socks, sweaters, PJ's, long underwear, slippers, socks, etc. are collected for children in need. Teenagers are also collected for with gift certificates along with "teenage" accessories. Seniors are collected for as well! Those who generously participate can create trees of stars, angels, tags etc. The tags are taken and your gift is replaced under the tree. Please feel free to create names for your trees, should you choose. Arrangements can be made for delivery dates or pick up of items.

For safety and security reasons, we thank you for only including gifts that are UNWRAPPED and NEW. We welcome the inclusion of wrapping paper or bags so the parents may wrap their children's gifts.

Adopt-a-Teen Angel or a Senior Angel:

This past Christmas, we saw an increase in the numbers of families with teens and/or seniors coming through our doors. Families can be under an enormous amount of financial pressure, especially during the holidays. Many teens go to school and work to help their families, while others are living away from home- some on their own. When you add in the aging population, you may have grandparents living in the home as well or even alone. These clients are likely to be the ones who will be the last to receive a holiday gift, if at all. We would ideally like to have something to give to ALL ages registered at Community Care.
