financial eligibility

When accessing the Community Care food bank, you will first undergo an interview. You will need to bring:

• Identification for ALL family members

• Proof of Income and expenditures (rent/mortgage)

• Proof of current address

This information is required the first time you visit Community Care and will be updated once per year. Upon each of your following food visits you must always provide I.D. and proof of address, and notify Community Care of any changes. These food visits will be every two months, or if there are extenuating circumstances or emergencies.

what you will receive

Community Care is only able to provide a 3 to 5 day supply of food, based on the size of your family. We try to offer choice in the food that is provided, based on Canada's Food Guide.

food service hours

Monday to Thursday 9am to 3pm (clothing Room closes at 2:30) and Friday's till noon (clothing Room closes at 11:30)
