Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold

How do we fill the needs of the 1,500 families a month registered with Community Care?

We can only do it with YOUR HELP

Only with your on-going support will we be successful in the fight against hunger in our community. Community Care relies on individual, corporate and businesses to assist us in feeding people in need and educate the public about hunger issues.

There are a number of ways you can help:

Donate Money

Double your impact.

Because Community Care has the ability to buy in bulk, we can purchase twice as much food. It also allows us to purchase exactly what we are presently low on.

There are several ways to make a financial gift. Please be assured that all donations over $10.00 will receive a tax receipt.

  • To donate online, please use the secure online donation site hosted by CanadaHelps.org
  • To donate by credit card, please call us at 905-685-1349
  • To donate by cheque, please make it payable to Community Care and address it to:

    12 North St.
    PO Box 575
    St. Catharines
    L2R 6W8

  • Monthly Giving is available through CanadaHelps.org
  • Planned Giving: If you are considering a long term donation to Community Care, there are a number of options including estate planning, wills, charitable life insurance, gift annuities, gifts of security and trusts that can be directed to Community Care. A planned gift is best made with a financial advisor, attorney, accountant or insurance professional. To learn more, please contact us at 905-685-1349

Run a Food Drive

Every year we are grateful to the individuals, businesses, organizations and schools who find exciting ways to collect food for Community Care. Children have opted to forgo gifts for themselves at birthday parties and adults in lieu of gifts for weddings and anniversaries. It’s also a great motivator in contests between businesses or schools, knowing that others will be helped as well as having fun!

If you would like barrels and or generic food bags delivered, please call us at 905-685-1349. We will inform you of the weight collected for all to celebrate.
