Families or individuals are eligible to receive food up to six times per year. The intent is to supplement, from time to time, food budgets that may be strained, and to assist those in emergency situations.
The Household Goods Program addresses the re-distribution of a limited number of small items, which may include linens and blankets, window coverings, dishes, pots and pans.
Emergency medical, dental and vision care assistance is provided on a limited basis. There are a large number of required medications that are no longer covered by many plans and oftentimes clients choose food for their families over their medication. The demand for dental assistance continues to be a concern and we are grateful for the support of the local dental community. Our vision care program provides funds to assist with the purchase of new glasses. In all cases, our funding only covers a portion of the cost. Clients are expected to contribute to the overall acquisition of these services and supplies.
